This safari is a small group safari with a max of 6 adults.
This unforgettable adventure lasts over five hours and gives you the chance to truly experience life as a musher. After a driving introduction and safety briefing, you'll drive your own husky team through beautiful forest trails and the peaceful wilderness of Finnish Lapland.
Experience Life as a Musher
Once the safari begins, you'll leave the hustle and bustle behind and immerse yourself in the silence of nature. Along the way, there will be plenty of opportunities to stop, admire the breathtaking scenery, breathe the crisp Arctic air, and capture unforgettable photos.
Two adults share one sled and can swap driving duties whenever they wish, allowing both participants to enjoy the experience of guiding their own team of eager huskies.
Lunch by the Campfire
Halfway through the safari, we stop for a well-earned lunch break.
Before preparing lunch, your guide gives the huskies their well-deserved treats. It's a wonderful opportunity to observe the dogs' different personalities—some immediately curl up for a nap, while others continue playing or exploring before settling down.
While the dogs relax, your guide prepares a delicious lunch over an open fire. During the break, you'll have plenty of time to ask questions about sled dogs, their training, everyday life at the kennel, and what it's really like to live and work as a musher.
More Than Just a Husky Safari
This experience is much more than simply riding behind a team of sled dogs. It offers a genuine insight into the daily life of working sled dogs and the special bond between the dogs and their musher.
By the end of the day, you'll understand why these incredible dogs love to run and why dog sledding has become a way of life for so many people in Lapland.
