Husky safari and a visit to the huskies’ exercise yard
Come and experience authentic husky life at Arctic Borealis Huskies! This programme, suitable for all ages, combines a fast-paced husky ride, a close encounter with the sled dogs and the chance to learn about the huskies’ daily lives at our family-run business.
The safari begins with a driving briefing
The experience begins with a short driving briefing, during which we go through the basics of steering the team and the safety instructions. After the briefing, we head over to the eager huskies, who are waiting impatiently to get out onto the trail.
On the 3–10-kilometre safari, you’ll get to drive the husky team yourself. Passengers can relax, admire the surrounding countryside and take photos of the journey. Halfway along the route, adults can swap places between driver and passenger if they wish.
Discover the world of the huskies
After the ride, you’ll get to visit the huskies’ exercise yard, where around 40 huskies run freely around you. You’ll be able to observe the dogs playing, communicating with one another and their pack behaviour at close quarters.
This is the perfect opportunity to stroke the dogs, take photos and learn more about the life, training and daily routine of sled dogs in Lapland. Our huskies are friendly, curious and love meeting new people.
Refreshments in the hut
At the end of the visit, we’ll gather in a cosy hut, where we’ll serve hot juice and a little something sweet. Whilst you’re there, you’ll hear more about our dogs, their lives, and the history and operations of our family business.
Suitable for all ages
The programme is ideal for families, couples, groups of friends and all animal lovers. Children under 4 can take part free of charge when sitting on the lap of a paying adult.

The programme includes a guided tour, a husky ride, a visit to the dog run and refreshments at the hut.
We recommend practical clothing and sturdy shoes. Huskies love attention, so your clothes may end up with a few dog hairs or paw prints as a souvenir of your visit.
The dogs’ wellbeing is our top priority. If the temperature rises above +12 °C, we will not take the dogs out on a sled. In this case, the programme will take the form of a visit to the huskies’ enclosure, where you’ll get to meet the dogs, watch them go about their lives in the exercise yard, have a stroke of the huskies and enjoy refreshments at the hut. This way, we ensure that our dogs remain comfortable even on the warmest summer days.
