2-Hour Husky Safari in November
Experience an authentic husky safari with Arctic Borealis Huskies! This approximately 2-hour adventure offers the perfect opportunity to discover the world of sled dogs, enjoy the thrill of driving a husky team, and experience the unique atmosphere of Lapland's beautiful autumn landscape.
Start with a Driving Introduction
Your adventure begins with a safety briefing and driving instructions, where your guide will explain how to handle the sled or cart and go through all the essential safety guidelines. After the briefing, it's time to meet our enthusiastic huskies, who can't wait to head out on the trail.
Each sled or cart is shared by two adults and, if applicable, one small child. One adult drives while the other enjoys the ride as a passenger. The route is approximately 10 - 12 kilometres long, and halfway through the safari you'll stop for a short break, giving the adults the opportunity to swap driver and passenger roles.
If you'd like, your guide will be happy to take photos with your own camera or phone so you'll have lasting memories of your adventure.
Sled or Cart – Depending on Snow Conditions
Please note that during November and early winter, snow conditions can vary, and we cannot guarantee enough snow for sledding. For this reason, safaris may be operated using safe, easy-to-drive wheeled carts.
The experience is just as exciting as a traditional sled safari, because the highlight is seeing our huskies doing what they love most—running as a team. Whenever snow conditions allow, we always operate the safari with traditional sleds.
After the Safari
After the ride, you'll have time to meet the huskies, take photographs, and chat with your guide about the dogs, their training, and everyday life. For many guests, this becomes one of the most memorable parts of the experience.
Who Is This Safari Suitable For?
